How MyTripBuddy handles your information

MyTripBuddy stores the account details, trip information, checklist entries and documents you choose to provide so it can deliver the service.

Private documents

Uploaded files are stored outside the public website with random internal names. Each download is checked against the signed-in account and the trip’s sharing permissions.

Security records

Security events are logged to protect accounts and investigate misuse. Network addresses are stored as keyed hashes rather than readable addresses.

Sharing

When you share a trip, the selected registered user receives read-only access to that trip’s details, checklist and documents. You can remove their access at any time.

Your choices

You can update your profile and remove trips or documents through your account. Contact the site operator to request a full account export or deletion.

Retention and contact

The site operator must publish a retention schedule, legal entity name, postal address and privacy contact before public launch.
